What is this event?

TRANSIT is a research project on the transformative power of social innovation. After almost four years of research on two continents and lots of insights, events and work with social innovations, the "Learning for Change" conference is the final event of our project. It will happen between 14 and 15 September in BlueCity, Rotterdam and we need your help to make it all happen.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a bunch of enthusiastic people, who are into social innovation and communication. Ideally not scared of big crowds and quick on your feet. You have to be available on the 14th and 15th of September, in Rotterdam.

Take a look at our roles!

Registration

& info booth

(3 people)

You will be responsible for the registration process and greeting event attendees. You will have one shift/day at the info booth, helping people find what they need and giving details about the program or space.

Because you will deal with lots of people, we expect you to be sociable, polite and patient. If you are the kind of person who always stops to help people and smiles at faces on the street, this is the role for you!

photography

(1 person)

You will visually document the activities, but more importantly, you will capture the atmosphere of the event.

You don't have to be a certified photographer, but we hope you have some affinity for taking beautiful pictures. You should know how to handle the settings of a professional camera, fix your light and frame like a pro.

Blogging & social media

(2 people)

For two days, you will team up with the communication officer of this project and together you will cover the event. Your ears and eyes will be omnipresent and you will translate everything in flawless social media posts and blog entries. You are a good writer, your English is perfect and your grammar is on point.

Is that you? Hop on board!

Space & logistics

(10 people)

Each activity has its own room. You will be the person making sure everything in that space works and that there are enough supplies.

Ideally you are a quick thinker and problem solver, sociable and with attention to details. If you think this role fits you, we cannot wait to meet you!

Bonus: you get to attend lots of different sessions!

video/live streaming

(1 person)

Some sessions will be live streamed, to make the content accessible to people from different countries. Your role will be to take care of the video component and make sure that everything runs smoothly. In between sessions, you will make small clips to put together a 3 min round-up video at the end of the conference.

You should know your camera settings and filming techniques. Editing skills are a plus!

Jack of all trades

(1 person)

You are our go-to person for various spontaneous tasks. If anybody needs help with logistics, you will be the one to run that way. You're the quick thinker, problem solver, always willing to help volunteer!
